• Head of the department of Engineering Physics in a merged department (Engineering Physics and Material Engineering)  during a difficult period of budgetary constraints (1998-2001); planning a hiring plan for multiple professors.

• Instigator and principal researcher of two demands FCU,  MINI (2002; 10M$) and Nano-Bio (2008; 20M$) resulting in the installation in the Engineering Physics Department of an instrastructure valued at about 10 M$.

• Principal instigator of the establishment in the early 2000s of an activity in Biomedical Engineering at a research and training level in the Engineering Physics Department; Currently, there are 6 professors from Engineering Physics contributing to the biomedical engineering field.

• As an Interim Director of the Engineering Physics department, elaboration of a strategic development plan and of the Hiring plan of the department for the coming years, with a horizon around 2023.

Research expertise

Développement et modélisation de nouveaux procédés de matériaux par laser femtoseconde, de nanomatériaux optiques et plasmoniques, de dispositifs nano-optiques et de nanochirurgie par laser pour des applications en nanomédecine, incluant le diagnostic, la thérapie et la théranostique.
